All good things must come to an end, as they say. And with Dying Light 2 on the horizon, Techland has announced they’re running one more time-limited event for Dying Light after seven years of postlaunch support.
Set after the events of the main campaign, Part I of “Spike’s Story: Last Call” will run from now until January 28. After you took care of the bandit leader Rais in the main game, the remaining bandits have in turn now flooded into Harran. They’ve even broken into a shelter, causing survivors there to experience an outbreak of the zombie infection, resulting in zombies roaming the streets once again.
All is not lost, however. Spike has organized a safe zone for the survivors who managed to escape. There are those who still need help to get there, and that’s where you come in. In fact, thanks to Camden’s protection suits, some survivors are willing to lend a hand.
First off, you’ll have to deal with the bandits. Spike will reward you with the Crankshaft melee weapon for your efforts. The next task is to get the survivors. Doing so will award you the Last Hope blueprint. Finally, there’s also the global bounty of killing zombies with the environment. That will net you three King mods.
Again, this is only the first part of the live event. After January 28th, you can expect Part II of Last Call shortly thereafter.
Dying Light is available now on PC via Steam and GOG, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. Dying Light 2 arrives February 4 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. The Nintendo Switch version is expected later this year.
