The 2023 CAFA nominees are here

On August 24, the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) announced its 2023 nominees, and boy does Canada have a lot of talent! Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Lauren Chan was nominated for Model of the Year; TikTok’s Carrie Bradshaw Carla Rockmore is up for the Digital Fashion Creator Award; designer Dorian Who got nominated in not one but two categories! The CAFA 2023 list goes on and on here. Stay tuned for when the winners are revealed on October 14 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.

The Boss Fall 2023 campaign is seriously star-studded

Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell and Suki Waterhouse? The Boss Fall 2023 campaign has all those stars, and more. Looking like an angel in all white, Gigi stuns in the brand’s more casual apparel. Then, Naomi proves she’s still (and forever) a master, slaying in an all-grey suit. Not only that, the images — photographed by Mikael Jansson under the creative direction of Trey Laird and his agency, Team Laird — provide a sneak peek into what to expect from the German brand’s cooler weather offering. Hint: beautiful beiges, oversized coats and silky separates.

Meet Louis Vuitton’s new on-the-go bag

For most purse-wearers, searching for the perfect handbag is like searching for the Loch Ness Monster: exhausting and widely considered impossible. But Louis Vuitton is about to change that with their new GO-14 bag. The piece is made with padded lambskin and features an innovative malletage technique that gives the exterior flap its quilted appearance. The clue is also in the name, as the GO-14 has a top handle and adjustable chain strap to provide options for whatever your day (or Nessie) might bring.

Mine & Yours opens its first store in Toronto

Looking to shop luxury resale IRL? Look no further than Mine & Yours, which opened a brand new store in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. The Canadian consignment shop has everything from Bottega to Bulgari, all in one beautifully lit package. What’s more, if you don’t see what you’re looking for in store, Mine & Yours also has a fabulous website where you can spend an hour (or more!) browsing.

Vitaly goes back to its Club Kid roots

Vitaly has always been close to the club scene, so for its newest collection, titled “BPM,” it’s returning to the dance floor. Inspired by the history of clubwear, the latest jewellery offering weaves together aesthetics from “the Detroit and Berlin underground, 90s rave and acid house, and the ecstatic crystals and charms of the modern festival mainstage,” according to a press release. Think stainless steel, chain links and chunky rings.

Meet Youngji Lee, the youngest and first female winner of the South Korean hip-hop competition shows High School Rapper and Show Me the Money. If she isn’t already all over your social media feed, she’s about to be as she’s Coach’s newest ambassador. “Youngji is someone who inspires others by being herself,” says creative director Stuart Vevers in a press release. “She reflects the spirit of confidence and self-expression that we champion at Coach, as well as our vision for a more inclusive fashion world through the Coach family.” Catch her in Coach’s Fall 2023 campaign, out now.
