Kevin Spacey Shares Bizarre Christmas Eve Video With Tucker Carlson

Continuing one of the worst Christmas Eve traditions, Kevin Spacey has dumped a lump of coal on the public with another one of those bizarre videos where he portrays his House of Cards character Frank Underwood. Making things worse, however, he’s also enlisted Tucker Carlson for a sit-down interview with the fake politician.

Outside of going to and from sexual assault trials, Spacey has largely kept out of the public eye since allegations against the disgraced actor first surfaced in 2017. However, on one day a year — December 24, from 2019 to 2021 — Spacey reemerged to appear in increasingly deranged Xmas-themed videos as Underwood, even though that character was killed off of the Netflix political drama after the allegations were made.

With the majority of the legal action against Spacey coming to an end this year, the actor brought back the annual tradition… with a jolly Carlson in tow:

Framed as a real interview as part of Carlson’s deal with X (formerly Twitter), Carlson chats with Spacey-as-Underwood, who teases that he’s going to run for president against Joe Biden and presumably Donald Trump.

“First, I think our country needs to stop apologizing and stiffen up,” the actor says with Underwood’s Southern drawl. “We got so many running around with so many issues, like gun control — important issue — but let’s be honest, more people are killed by online trolls everyday.”

The faux-interview touches on cancel culture, the First Amendment, and “legacy media,” but there are a few fourth wall-breaking moments where Spacey-as-Underwood discusses Spacey’s situation, like the sexual misconduct claims to his Netflix firing.

“It is bizarre that [Netflix] decided to publicly cut ties with me on allegations alone, allegations that have now been proven false,” “Underwood” said, alluding to Spacey’s acquittals.

The interview drones on like this for another three minutes or so before coming to the greatest gift of all: The end.
