Jelly Roll‘s weight loss journey has been nothing short of spectacular. The country singer says he has lost more than 70 pounds and is feeling great.
“I feel really good,” he tells People.
“I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds],” Jelly explains. “If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.”
The “Halfway to Hell” singer will kick off his 40-date Beautifully Broken Tour on Aug. 27 in Salt Lake City.
How Did Jelly Roll Lose Weight?
With the help of Dana White’s fitness advisor Gary Brecka, Jelly Roll is giving his lifestyle choices a complete overhaul.
“I’ve been really kicking ass, man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now,” he explains.
Jelly Roll’s jump onto the health wagon came after he was challenged to run a 5k this year. He publicly made a promise on social media to himself, Berk Kreischer and Tom Segura that he would complete the 3.1-mile run in May 2024. He stopped short of saying he would run the event.
“I don’t know if ‘running’ is going to be the word, but I’m definitely going to get the 3.1 miles done — probably a brisk power walk,” he said at the time. “My goal is to be able to do a 15-minute mile.”
Jelly Roll’s Weight Loss Journey
This isn’t the first time Jelly Roll has addressed his weight: In 2023 he worked to lose weight and get into better shape before heading out on the road. He was able to shave off 20 pounds or so in his quest to address his health at that point.
“I lost some weight this year in 2022, but in 2023, I wanna finally conquer the demon,” he said at the time.
This year, Jelly Roll is completely reworking his approach to health and fitness and it appears to be paying off.
