“I’m okay! Please don’t worry,” the singer confirmed on social media
Heart has canceled their forthcoming summer European tour so singer Ann Wilson can “undergo a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure.” While tour dates aren’t scheduled until June and July, the band notes that the procedure, set for late May, has a “minimum recovery time” of six weeks.
“Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstance and hopes to return to Europe soon,” the band wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Refunds will be available at point of purchase where applicable.”
Following the announcement, Wilson shared the post on her own page, adding, “I’m okay! Please don’t worry. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me.”
Heart, who has been touring in North American since April, were set to kick off their European and U.K. tour dates on June 20. The trek is scheduled to continue in North American in August, with shows lined up through September when the band ends their run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on Sept. 22.
Earlier this month, Ann and Nancy Wilson spoke with Rolling Stone about coming back together for the tour. “We just got really tired of not playing together, and we both wanted to do a Heart tour,” Ann explained. “So then there is this question hanging in the air: Can Heart be Heart without Ann or can Heart be Heart without Nancy? It never could… We just went, ‘Well, let’s do what we have to do.’ Our discomforts of the past, at least from my perspective, have really been ironed out.”
