Music fans have noticed the steady increase of ticket prices – actually, the Chief Economist at Apollo Academy calls the increase “sharp.”
The price of the average concert ticket has gone up a whopping 34 percent since 2018, and country music isn’t immune.
The Most Expensive Country Concerts to Attend Per Minute
Studyfinds.org has done some extensive math, diving into the length of each concert, compared to the price of the average ticket to that show.
Their findings resulted in a Top 10 list of the most expensive concert tickets by the minute, and it includes a few country superstars.
At No. 5 is country music’s beloved icon George Strait. The average price per minute to see Strait? $1.77, because the average price of a ticket to watch the “Check Yes or No” singer perform is $232.
Just behind the King of Country at No. 6 is the Eagles. The average price per minute to see an Eagles show is $1.74. An average priced ticket to see the Eagles is $213. That is nearly twice the cost of a night in a hotel in California.
Modern country favorite Morgan Wallen also makes the list for having an expensive ticket when you break it down by minute: It’ll run you $1.39/minute to see Wallen. But to put it in perspective, to hear him perform “Last Night” will cost you about $4.17 — not too bad!
Among the least expensive acts to see? Old Dominion and Lauren Daigle.
