Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will once again be hosting the 2024 CMA Awards in November, but they’re not the only hosts on the bill.
This year, first-timer Lainey Wilson is joining the veteran hosts. 2024 will mark Manning and Bryan’s third year co-hosting, and Bryan’s fourth year hosting overall.
But even though Wilson’s a rookie in the hosting gig, she’s certainly no stranger to the CMAs stage. In fact, she’s the reigning Entertainer of the Year, after taking home the awards show’s highest honor in 2023. She won the Album and Female Artist of the Year during that ceremony, too.
In an announcement video shared by the Country Music Association, the three hosts hilariously acknowledge the fresh perspective Wilson stands to bring to the hosting gig. In the clip, Manning and Bryan are on their way to the CMAs in a top-down convertible, singing along to Wilson’s “Hang Tight Honey” on the radio — when Wilson herself pops up from the backseat.
“Listen, fellas, I ain’t trying to kill your vibe, but I think I could bring something to the CMA Awards that you ain’t never had before,” she explains. “Like humor. Like personality. Like style. A little bell bottom flare.
“I like that,” Manning nods.
“I guess we do need you, Lainey,” Bryan admits.
“I could not be more excited to host the CMA Awards this year with Luke and Peyton,” Wilson says in a statement. “It’s such an incredible honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing.”

“The past two years has been a lot of fun, and I know Lainey is going to bring a special flare,” Manning adds. “Hopefully she can help me keep Luke in line! Either way, I’m excited for an incredible night of celebration and country music.”
Wilson is once again nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards, in a nominees list that also heavily features Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs and more.
The 2024 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 20. Fans can watch the show live on ABC, or stream it next day on Hulu.
