Described as an action-horror movie, the upcoming Epilogue will be produced by horror master Mike Flanagan, and Deadline reports that Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian will star.
Both Siegel and Dastmalchian have become fan favorite actors in the genre space in recent years, Siegel starring in Mike Flanagan’s Hush as well as the TV series’ “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” “Midnight Mass” and “The Fall of the House of Usher.” Siegel also just made her directorial debut with a segment in Shudder’s V/H/S/BEYOND.
David Dastmalchian starred in this year’s indie hit Late Night with the Devil, and recent credits also include The Boogeyman, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and The Life of Chuck.
Michael Fimognari (The Fall of the House of Usher) is directing the upcoming horror movie Epilogue, fresh off directing four episodes of Flanagan’s “Fall of the House of Usher.”
“Set one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end, the film will follow a desperate couple who set out to find a cure for their infected daughter.”
Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason wrote the screenplay.
The Coven will launch sales next week at the American Film Market, Deadline also notes.
Todd Garner (Mortal Kombat) produces for Broken Road Productions, alongside Courtney Petrakis, Brittney McDade, and Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep) for Red Room Pictures.
