Sister Wives star, Kody Brown detailed his pampering routine during the latest episode. Unmistakably, his curls don’t just naturally pop, he puts a lot of work into them. However, fans criticize Kody for spending more time working on his hair than he does with his kids.
Kody Brown Makes A Statement
While Sister Wives patriarch, Kody Brown, may struggle to keep up with four wives, he has consistently prioritized his hair throughout the series. During the latest episode, Kody’s brothers, Michael and Scott, harass him about his hair care routine. Seemingly, it is an area Kody has always enjoyed. Both brothers joked about Kody primping even when he was younger. One says, “Even when he was a pre-teenager, his hair has always been important to him.” But Kody shoots back, “Don’t be jealous.” They laugh and say, “We’re not!”
Before heading out to revisit the Las Vegas cul-de-sac, Kody shows the secret to his luscious curls. He emerges from another room wearing a hair net. As they get ready to leave, he pulls the net off and gently shakes his head to unveil his tight spirals. He lets his brothers know, “I have to do a lot of work to take care of this hair.” Likewise, in a confessional, he adds, “If I don’t dry it right, the curls don’t happen.” Admittedly, he knows the regimen is “cheesy” but it shaves off time to wear the net instead of using hours drying it with a hair dryer. But the hard work is worth it to Kody because he says he “needs it to be pretty.” However, fans are criticizing the exorbitant amount of time he will devote to his hair, but not give his wives and kids much-needed attention.
Fans Criticize Kody Brown For Giving Hair More Attention Than Kids
After the episode, Sister Wives viewers were less than impressed with Kody Brown’s self-care. TLC added a clip on X and it got plenty of responses.
- One X user replies with a GIF of Judge Judy screaming, “Who cares?!”
- Another GIF proclaims, “No One Cares.”
- Someone else is sick of Kody being vain declaring he is a “Super A*****e” needing to be “removed [from] Every platform TLC gives [him].”
- But another user questions, “He needs it to be pretty??”
- However, one viewer is disgusted with him spending so much time on his hair instead of applying effort to repairing relationships. Saying, “He needs to fix broken relationships with his children, he’s already lost one (Garrison) and he seems to care less.”
His Obsession
Redditors have had several conversations about Kody Brown and the many versions of his hair. Likewise, they agree it would be a better use of his time to spend it with his family. In the latest episode, he seemed perplexed by the family not wanting him around. But Janelle Brown mentions he isn’t putting in the time and effort to mend relationships. Furthermore, even family newcomer, David Woolley, had advice for Kody’s hair.

- Another Reddit points out, “He started to embrace his natural curls at Robyn’s suggestion. She showed him how to use a hair dryer diffuser. Toss in some products and it’s done. After Robyn became the legal wife, Kody changed a lot of his behaviors and so did Robyn. As much as they want to pretend it didn’t change anything, that’s when I noticed a big difference in her clothing and makeup choices and he started to wear his hair differently.”
