Elizabeth and Nathan were cozy together after Mike and Mei’s beautiful wedding. However, that loved-up feeling was instantly destroyed by the arrival of Superintendent Hargraves.
Naturally, Nathan thought Hargraves was there for him because he was his Fort Clay superior officer. Moreover, the hard-headed Mountie disobeyed orders, thus sending Jack on a mission that ultimately killed him. But, Hargraves was there to see Elizabeth on a personal matter. The final words of the season were Jack’s superior officer telling the schoolteacher, “Mrs. Thornton. It’s about your late husband.”
Naturally. Hearties believed that Jack was not dead. He was going to return and thus destroying Elizabeth and Nathan’s newfound love. However, Lindsay Sturman assured Hearties that Jack is not alive. Therefore, the matter is not about Jack being alive. It is about something else.
Instead, the Hallmark summary seems to hint at what the Superintendent’s intention is. “Elizabeth receives a sentimental surprise in time for Little Jack’s first day of school.” What is he bringing Elizabeth?
What Is The New WCTH Love Triangle?
What Hearties may want to brace themselves is a new WCTH love triangle. This time it is between Elizabeth, Nathan, and Jack’s memory wedged between them. Elizabeth wants her son Little Jack to have memories of his father. However, this may cause some tension with the couple.
Speaking to JLJ Media, the show’s co-creator, Brian Bird, hints at some serious conversations. “For Nathan and Elizabeth to truly move on with their relationship, they must unpack everything. Season 12, get ready. Get ready for something important to talk about. That’s what I’ll say.”
