The train that is V Rising continues to roll, with developer Stunlock Studios announcing that the open-world vampire survival game has surpassed 5 million copies sold across PC via Steam and PlayStation 5. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, seeing as the game hit the ground running (and kept running) not long after it launched in Early Access on Steam three years ago.
“Hitting 5 million sales isn’t just a number, it’s a testament to the passion and dedication of our team and our incredible community,” said Rickard Frisegård, CEO at Stunlock Studios. “Our player’s enthusiasm drives us to push boundaries and deliver even more unforgettable experiences. We’re excited to build on this success and deliver thrilling new experiences and content in 2025.”
Of course, it also probably doesn’t hurt that Castlevania made a crossover last year with V Rising, bringing plenty of content.
And speaking of 2025, V Rising has quite a bit in store for fans this year, including a brand-new biome teeming with uncharted territories, a deadly new faction, and ancient technologies ready to be claimed for your castle. Players can also look forward to a revamped progression system featuring stat caps, a Fusion Forge for crafting ultimate builds, and risk-free PvP options like dueling, customizable castle arenas, and much more.
