A shocking announcement was released Friday evening. It is being reported that The Bachelorette will not be filming the 2025 season. Normally, filming would kick off in March right after The Bachelor finale. Why is this year’s not being filmed? Keep reading to find out what is known.
The Bachelorette NOT Filming New Season
Normally, The Bachelorette is announced at After the Final Rose and the season begins filming within a week after. It’s just been shared by Deadline that the 2025 season is not happening.
Fans are shocked to learn that there will not be a normal season of The Bachelorette. A season of the show has not been skipped before. However, there is some good news with the announcement. It is being said that the show is not being canceled it is simply skipping a season.
According to the report, insiders are also saying that a return later this year for The Bachelorette has not been ruled out. Most likely if that does not happen it will return next year.
Right now, no official statement has been shared as to why this decision was made. It could very well be because they want to film another season of The Golden Bachelor or The Golden Bachelorette. The network has already revealed that Bachelor in Paradise is returning this summer although it is likely to be filmed at a new location.
Remember, BIP took a season off last year and was still resurrected for the 2025 season. Hopefully, ABC will make an official statement as to why they decided to skip a season of the series.
New Leads Have Not Been Announced
Grant Ellis is currently on his journey to find love on The Bachelor. Normally, one of his ladies would be chosen to be the next lead for The Bachelorette. Since that is not happening many will no doubt be heading to Paradise.
It won’t be long before cast leaks start appearing and possible pairings rumored by fans.
If the reason for postponing the upcoming season of The Bachelorette is to film one of the Golden series there have not yet been any leads announced for that either.
For now, it seems that Bachelor Nation is in a holding pattern and will be waiting to hear from ABC about what to expect next.
What do you think about the show being postponed and skipping a season? Are you disappointed?
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
