‘Shinobi: Art of Vengeance’ Slices Home August 29 for PC, Consoles [Trailer]

Koei Tecmo is going to have some competition this summer for the return of old school ninjas to video games. First revealed at The Game Awards 2023 alongside other legacy Sega franchises, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch on August 29. Pre-orders are now available on select platforms, including a 10% discount on Steam.

Created in collaboration with Lizardcube, the studio behind the acclaimed Streets of Rage 4, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance centres on longtime series protagonist Joe Musashi, who arrives home from a previous adventure to find his village burned to the ground and his clan turned into stone. Driven by vengeance, Joe sets off on his quest to face an unparalleled evil and avenge his clan.

Joe will once again make use of his ninja arsenal, including his katana Oborozuki, Kunai, Ninjutsu arts, and Ninpo to vanquish his foes. Along the way, you will acquire amulets for enhanced abilities, and discover Ningi tools to overcome obstacles and uncover new paths.

There will also be a Deluxe Edition for Art of Vengeance, which allows players early access to the game, along with the Digital Deluxe Season Pass which includes:
