‘Pie To Die For:A Hannah Swensen Mystery’ June Hallmark Mystery

This week, Hallmark surprised Sleuthers with the announcement of Pie To Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery premiering on Sunday, June 22. However, this new mystery, starring Alison Sweeney, Victor Webster, and Barbara Niven will now be the only June mystery. Moreover, it is not even airing on the Hallmark Mystery channel.

What happened to Mystery Island: Play For Keeps? Here is all the news that Sleuthers need to know now.

What Is Hallmark’s Pie To Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery About?

Hallmark’s Pie To Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is premiering in June. This new movie was directed by Signed, Sealed, Delivered star Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe. According to the synopsis, “When Hannah’s customer and Delores’ theater rival is murdered, Hannah must find her killer in order to save her mother’s reputation. Chad and Hannah’s romance blossoms.”

Pie To Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery Premiering Only On The Hallmark Channel

The premiere of the twelfth movie in the Murder She Baked/Hannah Swensen series is Pie To Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is on Sunday, June 22, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.

Please note the channel this movie is on Sleuthers. The new Hannah Swensen is not premiering on Hallmark Mystery, only the OG. There is no explanation why. However, TV Shows Ace did confirm with the network that the movie will be on the regular channel, not the mystery channel.

This means that the new Hannah is premiering on a different day of the week, Saturday, instead of Thursday. Moreover, it is not premiering on the Mystery channel.

What Happened To Mystery Island: Play for Keeps?

To add more confusion, the new Hannah Swensen Mystery is the only mystery premiering in June. Back in March, Hallmark had announced that Mystery Island: Play For Keeps, starring Elizabeth Henstridge and Charlie Weber was to premiere on Thursday, June 5.

However, this movie has suddenly disappeared from the schedule. Most importantly, this means that Hallmark is once again, only premiering one mystery in the month of June. This is incredibly disappointing as the network has not premiered many new movies in 2025. Instead, they have premiered two Jane Mysteries and one Aurora Teagarden prequel that were all originally premiered on the Hallmark+ streaming service.

Therefore, Pie to Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is only the third new 2025 mystery. This news will be very distressing for Sleuthers who expected one-two new mysteries every month.
