‘The Daily Jaws’ Announces ‘Jaws’ 50th Anniversary Interview Series with Slash, Simon Pegg & More!

Celebrating 50 years of the Spielberg classic, fan site The Daily Jaws has announced an extra special interview series featuring 50 famous JAWS fans from the world of entertainment!

The celebratory celebrity interview series will feature interviews with Simon Pegg, Chris Jericho, Slash, and Joe Hill, and the first five (of 50) episodes are AVAILABLE NOW!

Simon Pegg, Jack Quaid, Greg Nicotero (special effects legend and creator of the Academy Museum JAWS shark), Dermot O’Leary and Joe Lo Trugilo (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) are part of this first wave of interviews, which were released yesterday for the 50th anniversary.

Two new episodes will later surface on a weekly basis over on The Daily Jaws.

They were all brought together and interviewed by Ross Williams, creator of The Daily Jaws – the number one JAWS fan site – which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year as well.

Williams tells us, “It’s been fascinating going beneath the surface with famous JAWS fans, finding out how the film has impacted and inspired them. These interviews show that the appreciation for this film only just seems to grow and grow. JAWS may be 50 but it is still far from long in the tooth and the shark and Spielberg are still weaving their magic across multiplexes and new and old audiences alike. This shark is far from broken.”

Ian Shaw, actor and co-writer of the Broadway and West End hit The Shark Is Broken, about the making of JAWS, is also one of the subjects who will be interviewed in the coming weeks.

Ross notes, “We’ve been privileged to interview the sons of two legends from the JAWS series, first the son of Quint actor Robert Shaw, in Ian, and secondly with the actor Jack Quaid, son of the JAWS 3D (1983) star Dennis Quaid. It’s helped make it a real JAWS family affair.”

The Daily Jaws features over 1,000 articles about the film, its sequels, other shark films, sharks and shark conservation. You can follow the site on Instagram and Twitter as well.
