Physical ‘Turok Trilogy Bundle’ Coming This Halloween to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch

Those of you Turok fans wanting something a little physical have received a little something from Nightdive Studios and Atari. In collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, they’ve announced a physical edition of the Turok Trilogy Bundle for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, combining the original Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion on one cartridge/disc.

Coming October 31, pre-orders for the Turok Trilogy Bundle are now live on Atari.com, and through various retailers.

If you’ve been keeping track of Nightdive’s efforts when it comes to remasters of classic titles (most recently with the System Shock 2: 2th Anniversary Remaster), you know that you’re getting quality. Nightdive Studios’ remastered Turok trilogy is renowned for modernizing the iconic games, bringing the epic saga to current-generation platforms. When it was first released in 1997, Turok introduced gamers to a world teeming with cunning enemies, traps, puzzles, and deadly weapons, all within a vast 3D environment ready to explore. All three of these classic games feature upgraded gameplay, high-resolution textures, enhanced lighting and rendering, and support for console gamepads with platform-specific features.

To recap, Turok centres around the eponymous Native American time-traveling warrior. The mantle of Turok is passed down every generation to the eldest male, with each Turok charged with protecting the barrier between Earth and the Lost Land. In the first game, Turok must stop the evil overlord known as the Campaigner from finding the weapon known as the Chronoscepter and use it to rule the universe. In Seeds of Evil, Turok is once again tasked with restoring peace to the land and stopping the Primagen from merging Earth with the nether world. Finally, in Shadow of Oblivion, dual protagonists Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, siblings of Seeds of Evil protagonist Joshua Fireseed, must defeat the titular antagonist Oblivion and its followers, the Flesh Eaters.

All three Turok games can also be found on the Xbox Series, as well as PC via Steam.
