‘IT’-Themed Expansion ‘Betrayal at the Neibolt House’ for Avalon Hill’s ‘Betrayal at House on the Hill’ Available Now

Fans of IT who are also tabletop RPG fans have an additional treat this year. Ahead of HBO’s “IT: Welcome to Derry” coming later this year, those same fans can enjoy the recently-released expansion for Avalon Hill and Hasbro’s Betrayal at House on the Hill in Betrayal at the Neibolt House: The Evil of Pennywise. Combining the nightmarish horror of IT: Chapter Two with the classic haunting fun of the 3rd Edition of Betrayal at House on the Hill, Betrayal at the Neibolt House is available now via Amazon and your friendly local game store.

In case you’ve never played Betrayal at House on the Hill, the game sees 3 to 6 players entering the eponymous House on the Hill to discover its dark secrets. At first you’ll work together, but eventually, one explorer will betray the others, and then the haunt begins.

The expansion features three unique miniatures, new rooms, as well as new items and characters inspired by the IT films. You play as a resident of Derry, experiencing one of five unique haunts, plus 10 cards that infuse Pennywise throughout the entire game. When the haunt begins, you may find yourself embodying the terror of IT, or the deranged malice of Henry Bowers. Or maybe you’ll have to work together and defeat Pennywise.

Meanwhile, IT: Welcome to Derry premieres on HBO Max in October 2025.
