Big Brother’s reputation has been struggling during Season 27. Many fans have been upset with production for the choices made during the season. The show has always said to expect the unexpected; however, the latest twist may have been too far for viewers. Keep reading to find out more.
Big Brother Fans Are Upset With Show Producers
Big Brother fans have had enough of production during Season 27. Fans have been struggling to support the show. In addition, drama has been ongoing over Big Brother executives’ choosing to alter the live feeds for the show. In addition, production has come under scrutiny for allowing Rylie Jeffries to stay in the house after fans said he made unsafe comments towards fellow houseguest Katherin Woodman. Now, show producers have decided to throw a new twist into Season 27.
Big Brother fans are used to producers doing the unexpected. Fans can expect new and old twists to take place each season. However, fans have expressed that they are over the Blockbuster twist. During Blockbuster, three nominees are sent to the block. However, participants have the chance to win the Power of Veto. On eviction night, Blockbuster nominees battle it out to see who can win themselves safety to stay in the Big Brother house. Blockbuster is a twist that producers use to pit houseguests against one another in order to avoid elimination. Many fans are feeling like the twist is ruining the show.
Big Brother Fans Call For The Removal Of Big Show Twist
Big Brother viewers often complain about the theme of a season or show twists. Fans have recently taken to social media to share their thoughts on the Blockbuster twist. Fans expressed that the twist ruined how the game is played. Some said that players lose the ability to play a social game. In addition, some fans said that Blockbuster turns players into pawns. One fan took to Reddit to share their thoughts. They said:
“BB has always had an element of luck, but the last two seasons it’s been the main factor. Players like Keanu [Soto] and Kelley [Jorgenson] can tank socially, lose veto, then win the Blockbuster and be safe, while someone like Adrian [Rocha] can play well, go up as a pawn, and still end up next to another pawn because someone who was doomed won a 2-minute comp. No wonder everyone looks drained during voting talks — hours of strategy get wiped out just to make Thursday more dramatic.”

Other fans chimed in with their thoughts. they said:
- “Think about how much has to happen to get a target out: there’s now a 50% chance a nominee wins POV (up from 33%), meaning you often have to nominate four people 🤦♂️. Honestly, safety aside, it’s better not to win HOH atp — it’s been reduced to a glorified safety comp with your prize being a shot in the dark. Bring back old Big Brother. I miss backdoors.”
- “I completely agree with this. Instead of strategy, it just feels like chaos.”
- “It makes eviction night more entertaining at the cost of making everything else boring,” another said.
- “I hate it!! It makes the show too comp-focused.”
Not All Fans Agree With Removal Of Shows Big Twist
Not all of the fans were against the Blockbuster twist. Some fans supported the element of chaos and surprise that the twist added to Big Brother Season 27. The fans in support of the twist felt that it makes the show more interesting and was not overly complicated. The Head of Household has never been able to control who goes home, but can make nominatations. Fans felt Blockbuster allowed HOH to nominate an extra player. Many fans felt the twist makes Thursday episodes more exciting.
