During Friday’s Nintendo Direct, Digital Eclipse and Atari confirmed that Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will launch digitally just in time for Halloween on October 30. Pre-orders for the digital version of the collection will open tomorrow, September 15 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Meanwhile, pre-order availability for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch will be announced in the coming weeks.

The physical Standard and Deluxe editions for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will ship on December 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC pre-orders, while the shipment timing for the Kollector’s Edition will be announced at a later date.

Developed by Digital Eclipse, published by Atara and officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection brings together a vast library of titles from the franchise’s early years, featuring multiple classic titles from the 90s and early 2000s, including arcade, console, and handheld versions. The full lineup includes:

    • Mortal Kombat – 1992 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear)
    • Mortal Kombat II – 1993 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X)
    • Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis)
    • Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995 (Arcade, WaveNet Arcade, SNES)
    • Mortal Kombat Trilogy – 1996 (PlayStation)
    • Mortal Kombat 4 – 1997 (Arcade)
    • Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero – 1997 (PlayStation)
    • Mortal Kombat Special Forces – 2000 (PlayStation)
    • Mortal Kombat Advance – 2001 (Game Boy Advance)
    • Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance – 2002 (Game Boy Advance)
    • Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition – 2003 (Game Boy Advance)

In addition, the collection will also feature new enhancements, including online play for arcade and console games, a Rewind feature for more forgiving gameplay, on-screen move lists and a Trainer mode. A Fatality Trainer has also been added, giving every player a chance to master each kombatant’s finishers.

Lastly, there will also be an interactive documentary chronicling the series’ history, featuring rare concept art, archival video footage and exclusive new and vintage interviews with original creators Ed Boon, John Tobias and more.
