Amy Grant, Carrie Underwood + Grand Ole Opry Fight Breast Cancer

Amy Grant, Carrie Underwood and the Grand Ole Opry will team up to help fight and promote awareness for breast cancer.

It’s all part of the “Opry Goes Pink” event at the Opry, which will enter into its 17th year when Grant flips the proverbial switch and turns the Opry’s signature barn all pink on Oct. 25.

Underwood is set to perform that evening as well.

How Does the Opry Goes Pink Benefit Help Fight Breast Cancer?

Here is how this will benefit breast cancer. $5 from every ticket sold will be donated to Susan G. Komen to aid in the fight against breast cancer.

According to their website, Susan G. Komen is the world’s leading nonprofit breast cancer organization, working to save lives and end breast cancer forever.

The organization has an unmatched, comprehensive 360-degree approach to fighting this disease across all fronts and supporting millions of people in the U.S. and in countries worldwide.

Ashley McBryde did the honors of flipping the switch in 2024. Carly Pearce, Trisha Yearwood and Lauren Alaina flipped the switch in the years prior to that.

Interestingly enough, of the aforementioned names, Grant is the only one on the list that is not actually a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Her husband, Vince Gill is, but for whatever reason, Grant has yet to be invited to be an official member.

If you would like to be on-hand at this once-in-a-lifetime event, and also donate to the cause by purchasing your ticket, tickets are available, but going fast on the Opry’s website and at (800) SEE-OPRY.

When Was the First Opry Show?

The first Grand Ole Opry show took place on Nov. 28, 1925.

What is Amy Grant’s Net Worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Amy Grant is worth around $30 million.
