After its digital release earlier this year, Microids and Forever Entertainment’s The House of the Dead 2: Remake has received a limited physical Infect’Edition on the Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will be receiving their respective physical editions in early 2026, with pre-orders now available.
The limited Infect’Edition includes the following:
- The House of the Dead 2: Remake on cartridge
- An exclusive slipcover
- 3 holographic character cards
The second entry in the Sega’s cult classic rail shooter series, The House of the Dead 2: Remake sports a remastered soundtrack and graphical revamp, as well as including the same co-op play, branching paths and multiple endings of the original game. The remake will also include a Boss Rush Mode, where you must defeat the game’s bosses as fast as you can, as well as a Training Mode, allowing you to hone your skills in different training scenarios.
The story picks up after the events of the first game, where in February 2000, the city of Venice has suddenly become overrun by hostile creatures. AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart have been dispatched to investigate. Upon their arrival, they soon realize that the situation resembles what happened at the Curien Mansion from two years prior. Determined to uncover the source of the infestation, the duo must shoot their way out.
The House of the Dead 2: Remake is also available digitally on PC via Steam and GOG.com, as well as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
