‘Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5’ Comes to Steam February 18, Console Release to Follow [Trailer]

Poppy Playtime fans will be able to start the year off right with the anticipated fifth chapter, subtitled “Broken Things”, coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store on February 18. A full console release will follow in the months ahead. Accompanying the release date announcement is a brand-new trailer, which reveals more about the game’s central protagonist in Experiment 1006, known as The Prototype.

In Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, players must prepare to face off against the deadly puppetmaster behind the horrifying events of Playtime Co’s dark past. Solve devious puzzles and overcome dangerous obstacles with the power of new GrabPack tools and functionality as the true rotten heart at the center of Playtime Co. draws nearer. Players will traverse this new realm of shadows in a fight for survival (and the truth) with Playtime’s security system, Huggy Wuggy, in hot pursuit and separated from your only allies.

Stomach-churning terrors await you in this new section of the factory as you uncover the dark works hidden within The Prototype’s stomping grounds. In this chilling new layer of the Playtime facility, you will encounter the tortured denizens living in the darkness. They may aid you in your quest to defeat The Prototype, but can they be trusted?

As you reach the true rotten heart at the center of Playtime, you will discover some of the company’s gravest sins. Will you escape this new realm of shadows with your sanity intact, or will you succumb to the horrors within?
