JoJo Siwa Made History On DWTS With Same-Sex Partnership
Like many young people, JoJo Siwa explored her sexuality as a teenager. She announced in 2021 that she was part of the LGBTQ+ community. That same year, she made history on Dancing With The Stars.
The pop singer was paired with Jenna Johnson for Season 30. She did well on the show and came in second place. JoJo Siwa was dating Kylie Prew at the time but they reportedly split up due to JoJo Siwa’s busy schedule. She went on to date social media influencer Kath Ebbs.
They split after just a few months of dating because of what happened on Celebrity Big Brother.
JoJo Siwa Looking To Immediately Marry Chris Hughes
Celebrity Big Brother was a wake-up call for JoJo Siwa. She became close friends with Chris Hughes, who gained fame on Love is Blind. While the relationship started off platonic, it grew into something more. The couple has been dating for almost a year now.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE magazine, JoJo Siwa admitted to feeling “wedding fever.” Will wedding bells ring soon? The pop star’s brother recently tied the knot. JoJo Siwa and her boyfriend attended the wedding together.
“Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes,” she said about the nuptials. JoJo Siwa added, “I mean, obviously our relationship’s very new. We’re creeping up on our one-year anniversary. So we’re getting there, but we’ve got time. And obviously, I think that marriage is, of course, in Chris’ hands, and so when he feels the time is right, I’ll be ready.”
Says He’s Her ‘Soul Mate’
The DWTS alum told PEOPLE that Chris Hughes is her “soul mate.” The relationship is somewhat new, but she thinks it will last forever. She said they didn’t have specific plans to celebrate their anniversary but would mark the occasion somehow.
JoJo Siwa joked that she was “kidding” about marrying him immediately. She said that when the time is right, they’ll know. “I think that when it’s meant to be, it is, and when it’s meant to be, it’ll be right,” she told the outlet about her future with Chris Hughes.
In the meantime, she has a new song coming out on April 7 inspired by their romance. “Well, our lives connecting and meeting are like serendipity. It’s my favorite word, so I had to write a song about it,” she said about her new single, “Serendipity.”
