Tyler Farr Hospitalization: Here’s What Really Happened

Singer Tyler Farr says the accident that led to his hospitalization was not his fault. Actually, he says it wasn’t anyone’s fault.

Farr took to social media to explain what happened and to assure fans he’s on a road to recovery. “It was just kind of a freak deal,” he says.

    • The accident forced Farr to miss an appearance at Connecticut’s Goshen Stampede last Saturday (June 13).
    • Look for Farr back on stage this Saturday in Morgan Hill, Calif.
    • His biggest hits are “Redneck Crazy,” “Whiskey in My Water” and the chart-topping “A Guy Walks Into a Bar.”

    What Happened To Tyler Farr?

The 42-year-old confirms he was hospitalized with a severe concussion. His social media post also explains what went wrong. During a songwriter’s retreat, he was riding on a truck tailgate.

“Pothole, riding on a tailgate, I was in the middle, had nothing to hold on to,” he says adding up factors that led to injury. “See ya.”

He adds that he was unresponsive for about two minutes. “It was an accident. It was nobody’s fault. It was not mine because that was the first thing I asked when I became responsive,” Farr shares.

    Who is Tyler Farr?

Farr enjoyed most of his mainstream success in the early 2010s on Sony Music Nashville, although he later recorded for Jason Aldean’s record label, Night Train Records in 2019.

The singer has also written songs for other artists, including “Hey Y’all” for Cole Swindell and “She’s Just Like That” for Joe Nichols.

Farr and his wife Hannah got married in 2016. They are parents to one daughter, 5-year-old Hollis Caroline.

Last fall, he talked about new music and songwriting during an interview with Taste of Country Nights. He remains very active and says the songwriting retreat was very productive despite the accident.

Just prior to falling, he performed and signed autographs at CMA Fest in Nashville.
