Jimmie Allen has been ordered to pay nearly $1.8 million to a woman who accused him of sexual assault and secretly recording a sexual encounter without her consent.
A federal judge issued the ruling on Wednesday (June 18), nearly a year after Allen was found liable by default in the civil case after repeatedly missing court deadlines.
The judgment stems from a lawsuit filed in 2023 by a woman identified only as Jane Doe, who accused the country singer of assault, invasion of privacy and intentionally causing emotional distress.
Judge Awards Nearly $1.8 Million
According to court documents, Judge Aleta A. Trauger ordered Allen to pay approximately $597,000 in compensatory damages and another $1.2 million in punitive damages.

In upholding an earlier recommendation from a magistrate judge, the court described the alleged conduct as particularly severe.
“The evidence shows that Mr. Allen intentionally and surreptitiously filmed his sexual encounter with plaintiff without her consent,” the report states. “These intentional acts caused plaintiff to suffer extreme emotional distress and trauma.”
The ruling follows an August 2025 decision in which Allen was found liable by default after failing to comply with multiple court orders and deadlines.
What the Lawsuit Alleged
The lawsuit alleged that Allen and the woman engaged in consensual sex in a Las Vegas hotel room, but claimed he later violated her consent during the encounter.
According to the complaint, Allen was accused of secretly recording the encounter on his cellphone without her knowledge or consent.

Allen denied the allegations and previously claimed the woman had consented to the recording.
However, the case never proceeded to trial after the singer repeatedly missed court deadlines, failed to produce evidence, and did not sit for a scheduled deposition.
The Latest Chapter in Allen’s Legal Troubles
The lawsuit was one of two civil sexual assault cases filed against Allen in 2023.
A separate lawsuit filed by Allen’s former day-to-day manager accused him of sexual harassment and abuse over an 18-month period. Allen denied those allegations and countersued for defamation. That case was settled in 2024.
The legal battles dramatically altered Allen’s career trajectory.
Once considered one of country music’s fastest-rising stars, Allen was dropped by his record label, booking agency, management company, and publicist following the allegations.
