Big Brother: One Houseguest Walks Off the Block as Another Heads Out the Door

Big Brother: One Houseguest Walks Off the Block as Another Heads Out the Door

It’s felt like the longest week in Big Brother history, not because the show has been boring or anything, but because so much has happened.

It’s hard to believe it’s been just a week since Rachel Reilly returned to the Big Brother house and got knocked into a pool of lava.

Big Brother Season 28 is off to a flying start, and the CBS reality juggernaut is showing no sign of slowing down.

    What more could we want?

As TV Fanatic previously reported, Dee Valladares held all the power throughout the first week, but her influence only extends to the vote if she can sway enough people.

Dee’s initial target was Mallory, but the rocket scientist pulled off a victory by winning the Golden Power of Veto.

That sent Dee into a bit of a tailspin because nominating four people in the first week is a surefire way to put a target on your back.

On Monday, Mallory saved herself from the block and Ashley was put up in her place, leaving Ashley, Taylor, and Yash as the final nominees heading into the eviction.

In the days that followed, there was a lot of back and forth as all three nominees got to work trying to secure their futures in the game.

The Scheming on Big Brother is Intensifying

The good news is that none of them rolled over and accepted defeat, and that back and forth led to plenty of drama on the Big Brother live feeds.

While Ashley initially seemed to be the target, things shifted when Dee and her allies began discussing keeping her.

However, word got back to Dee that Ashley wanted to target the Survivor winner, and, well, that didn’t go down well.

By Wednesday evening, Ashley’s fate seemed to be a done deal because she had spoken too openly about who she wanted to target.

I don’t know whether she thought she could successfully turn everyone against Dee’s side of the house, but it was a bad move.

Ashley staying could theoretically shift things because if she’s vocally going after the majority alliance, she could become the underdog the episodes need.

It’s still a surprise that everyone seemed set on deciding between Taylor and Yash because Ashley had seemingly imploded her own game.

Thursday’s live eviction was pivotal because it would shape the first half of the game by setting up the dynamics moving forward.

With the Big Brother Blockbuster in play, there was also a chance that Ashley could walk off the block and back into the house.

So, where did the chips fall by the end of the episode?

Yash won the Big Brother Blockbuster competition, leaving Taylor and Ashley on the block to face the eviction vote.

Ashley was evicted by an unanimous vote of 14-0.

So, there we have it. One eviction down and 15 more to go before we learn who will be the winner of Big Brother Season 28.

What are your thoughts on the first eviction episode? Did it live up to the hype? Who do you want to be crowned the second Head of Household of the summer?

Let’s dive into it in the comments section!
