Turns out there really is someone for everyone! MrBeast, a famous YouTube star, has officially tied the knot. Keep reading to find out who his new wife is and what his big day looked like.
MrBeast Gets Married
Jimmy Donaldson AKA MrBeast, is well known in the world of social media. Not only has he done wild challenges for years on YouTube, but he even ended up with his own show, Beast Games. Similar to Survivor and other challenge shows, the reality TV show gathers a large number of people and puts them through wild challenges until only one is left to walk away with a giant prize, including their own island.
While everyone follows and knows MrBeast, he’s never really been in the spotlight for his love life until now. This month, he shared that he got married to an influencer named Thea Booysen.
The couple started dating in 2022 when MrBeast was visiting South Africa, Thea’s home country. They ended up having dinner together through a mutual friend, where MrBeast asked several questions. By the time he returned to the States, he sent her a DM, and the rest is history!
“He was super nice, very down-to-earth, and he started asking me a lot of questions. Little did I know he was going off a list because he was looking for a new girlfriend,” she reveals.
Their Dream Wedding
Of course, MrBeast doesn’t do anything small. So, it’s not shocking to hear the details of his big day. While there were only 70 people at the ceremony, it was still incredible. The ceremony was only the start of what would be a week-long experience to celebrate the marriage. Of course, it all took place on a private island in the Virgin Islands, The Sun reports.
The celebrations were extravagant, including kitesurfing and snorkeling, and the food wasn’t bad either. Guests indulged on sushi and wagyu beef at the reception.
Overall, it seems like it was truly a magical day for the couple who have been together for so long. Even Thea mentions how special it was to have everyone around them to celebrate.
“We were so happy, and there was so much love. We work a lot and don’t get to be around all our friends and family, so to have everyone in one place was really special,” the new bride gushes.
Who knew a trip to South Africa and a social media DM could change two people’s lives!
