Thanks to the show, viewers have met a number of important figures in Baylen’s life. This includes her father, Allen Dupree, who works for the U.S. federal government. Another is her husband, Colin Dooley, who was part of the show back when he was just Baylen’s boyfriend.
Fans have often seen friction between Allen and Colin, especially as Allen has been shown to be protective of his daughter. However, the two were shown to have a heartwarming moment together during Colin and Baylen’s wedding rehearsal.
Allen Highlighted His Son-In-Law’s Selflessness During The Moment
During a conversation with her now father-in-law, Colin shared, “I was even getting emotional during the rehearsal. It’s pretty amazing, just having everyone here all in one place. Like, that doesn’t really happen a whole lot.” Allen responded, “These are people in your life that, they love you. I want you guys to enjoy every second of it.”
The moment wasn’t without levity. Allen then joked, “After that horse took a s*** today, I don’t think it gets any more real than a horse taking a s*** at your wedding.” Colin admitted, “I was completely surprised that we got a horse, too. Because I completely gave the horse up so that we could afford that dress of Baylen’s.”
However, this caused Allen to highlight his new son-in-law’s character. He expressed, “What people would think is a simple, I would say sacrifice—it’s not always simple, right? Because it’s something that you lost, something that means something to you on your day. And I’m proud of you, man. Because for what it’s worth, for me, you’re doing a f***** great job, kid.”
