Reba McEntire has had her hand in every pot in the entertainment field possible. That is what has kept her going for five decades. Now, the singer and actress is preaching the magic of reinvention at seventy-one years old. Keep reading for more on what she had to say.
Reba McEntire Is Not Stopping
There is so much more to Reba McEntire than meets the eye. Yes, she is a feisty redhead, but she is a multi-Grammy winner. Moreover, she is a sitcom star with several hit shows under her belt, and she is extremely well-respected in the industry. Then, when she was launching her series Happy’s Place, entering its third season, she shocked everyone by taking over Blake Shelton’s seat on The Voice. NBC became doubly lucky, as she could be seen twice a week, and fans loved her for that. Now, at 71, the iconic superstar is unstoppable.

More than that, she is preaching the power of reinvention. There are new things that she will be doing with her music, things she never thought about. Catalogs, as she has discovered, are huge. Therefore, bringing her older music together with her new songs opens up an amazing world for her fans:
“I thought it was totally genius, because the catalog business is booming right now. People are getting very nostalgic, and they like the old songs they are familiar with. So, to pair a brand new song with past songs that are in the catalog, I told Justin, ‘This is one of the most creative, genius things I’ve seen done.’”
She is also venturing out to songs that she is not super comfortable with. Reba McEntire just released a new single called “Ring Ring,” which she initially felt was too young for her. However, she soon felt like “a kid,” and that was why she recorded it. Now, the singer is speaking highly of constantly doing things that challenge oneself:
“The barking dog gets the biscuit, so you got to come up with something that’s interesting. You just got to keep recreating yourself.”
Next Role Is Bride
Reba McEntire has done so much over the last several years in her career. Next up is her wedding to her Happy’s Place co-star Rex Linn. They have been planning for some time, and she is ready to be a bride. She has been married twice before, but she and Rex were longtime friends who happened to reconnect romantically. They have a great time together, and their characters even got together on the show. It will be exciting to see what happens when they finally tie the knot.
