The official teaser for Tulsa King Season 4 has arrived, and it’s full of strutting mobsters and violence, just like we want!
The series will make its triumphant return to Paramount+ on October 14, and, as we have since the beginning, we’ll be dissecting every episode.
Are we ready? Hell, yeah. We’re ready!
Everyone we love is present in the teaser and first-look photos, a few of which are sprinkled throughout this article.
Most importantly, Sylvester Stallone is still pouring himself into Dwight “The General” Manfredi, while Dwight reigns over his carefully crafted new empire in Tulsa.
Officially, the logline gives us a few details.
In Season Four, Dwight (Stallone) fights to legitimize his empire and protect his crew as corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies, and a crushing personal loss hit from every direction.
However, every hard-won gain comes with even harder truths: about loyalty, leadership, and the cost of ambition.
Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York — turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate.
After an FBI-imposed hiatus at the end of Tulsa King Season 3, Frank Grillo’s Bill Bevilaqua is back and doing dirty.
He’s at Dwight’s side during what looks like a tense conversation with NY mobster Quiet Ray Renzetti and stabbing someone in the gut on a darkened street.
Has he officially joined forces with Dwight? They’re better together, and since Special Agent Musso also has his grubby paws on Bill, he could be pushing the issue.
Regardless, there’s nothing I want to see more than more of Dwight and Bill side-by-side.
It looks like Tyson has fully embraced the gangsta lifestyle he’s been toying with since Tulsa King Season 1.
During Season 3, he was building his drug traffic with Spencer’s help. That must have paid off big time.
Neal McDonough‘s Cal Thresher makes an appearance, and he’ll come in quite handy as Dwight dances his way around the political issues, especially if Margaret is in lockstep with both men.
There’s no sign of Beau Knapp‘s Cole in the teaser, despite leading up to his inclusion on Tulsa King Season 3 Episode 10.
And unless I’m mistaken, it looks like Mitch and Spencer might have been locking lips.
Narrowing down the cast a bit to make room for those who have been there the longest while still adding new faces like Gretchen Mol (as a series regular) makes good sense.
And is that Robert Davi I see brandishing a weapon? He’s always an interesting guy on screen.
In addition to Stallone, Grillo, McDonough, and Mol, Tulsa King stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, James Russo, and Kevin Pollak, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.
That’s a lot of talent squeezed into this fan-favorite package, so giving them some room to breathe and develop would be appreciated.
I’ve never been able to get a handle on Agent Musso, so when he’s barreling down the street with the power of the FBI behind him, it’s easy to wonder if he’s going after bigger fish with Dwight and Bill’s help or if he’s going after Dwight himself now that he’s become such a powerful force in Tulsa.
Dwight never wanted to become like those who did him dirty in New York, but it’s possible he’ll find out it’s inevitable, or at the very least, a lot harder to go legit than he anticipated.
He’s surrounded himself with like-minded former criminals who still commit crimes to keep the organization afloat.
That dichotomy is part of Tulsa King’s fun. You never know who will be an ally or who will try to take down The General and his entire operation.
