Wynnona Judd & Sister Struggled In Relationship
It was never easy for Wynonna Judd and her sister, Ashley. They were seemingly very different, and it could have something to do with their backgrounds. Wynonna performed alongside their mother, Naomi Judd, as The Judds, whereas Ashley was an acclaimed actress. She was also an advocate for many organizations plus a spokesperson. There were only four years between the two ladies, but they just could not align. Then, tragedy struck in 2022 when Naomi took her own life after years of mental health struggles. This horrible moment forced Wynonna and Ashley to unite and was somewhat of a blessing in disguise.
Sadly, over four years later, they find themselves at an impasse and are back to being estranged. Wynonna spoke up about where they stand and, as she put it, they are on “a break”:
“She’s doing her thing, and I’m doing mine.”
The performer has a new album on the way, but she added that Ashley has not heard it yet, as they are “not connected.” Now, there were previous rumors that the ladies had been at odds over Naomi Judd’s will. However, Wynonna Judd disputed that, stating that was the furthest thing from the truth:
“I have such a great life. Ashley has a great life. Why would we be fighting over the will?”
That was October 2022, when they were discovering so many commonalities they never realized. It was a time that Wynonna and Ashley were truly leaning on each other. That seems to have fallen by the wayside, but the exact reason remains unclear.
A Lot On Her Plate
Aside from her music career, Wynonna Judd has so much on her plate. Her daughter, Grace Kelley, is locked up and has been in and out of trouble for years. Therefore, Wynonna has been raising her granddaughter, Kaliyah, with her husband. It has been anything but easy, yet her new album, The Hard Truth, is raw and honest. She shared that it addresses all of the trials and tribulations of her life, including her daughter’s current situation.
