Todd and Julie Chrisley are in the hot seat once again, and it’s all about their taxes. This is familiar territory for the couple, who served two and a half years behind bars for alleged tax evasion. Now, they allegedly owe $1.5 million in back taxes. Keep reading for more details.
Todd & Julie Chrisley Are Allegedly Behind On Their Taxes
When Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted in 2022 and sent to jail the following year, one of the charges was tax evasion. They allegedly hid how much they made plus did not file their federal returns or pay taxes from 2013 to 2016. Furthermore, they did not disclose how much they earned from their hit reality series, Chrisley Knows Best. It ran for ten seasons and is still in syndication, with over 200 episodes. This was a recipe for disaster, but their daughter, Savannah, was so dedicated to getting them released.

It worked because they were pardoned in May 2025 by President Donald Trump. Unfortunately, their tax issues have come back to slap them in the face. Allegedly, they owe approximately $1.5 million in back taxes. This is from the period ending December 2021 and December 2022. Keep in mind that they were not yet locked up, and they likely had delegated someone to handle their finances. Of course, neither the couple nor their family has addressed this issue. Yet, Todd Chrisley posted this quote on his Instagram stories, although it may not be related:
“Gossip dies when it hits a wise person’s ears. Rumors are started by haters, carried by fools, and believed [by] idiots.”
At this point, Todd and Julie Chrisley are focused on their podcast and his business, GoodGuyRX. It is a male version of Savannah’s GoodGirlRX. So, it appears that he is fairly successful, but this back-tax situation needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.
No One Is Surprised
After followers heard about Todd and Julie Chrisley possibly owing back taxes, they were not surprised. Taxes had put them behind bars before, so this was a sad but laughable situation:
- Lmao and who is surprised??? No one! Too bad Todd and Julie spent all their money on superficial shit to simply LOOK expensive – instead of buying new personalities. They only care about how everything looks to the outside world, they do not live in reality.
- Im not surprised
- Lol this dude referring to anyone as an “idiot” is wild.
