Just one more day until Halloween, and Sam is teasing a massive treat coming our way.
Michael Dougherty’s (Trick ’r Treat, Krampus) Sam: The Soul of Halloween has added another new video to its official YouTube channel, continuing a month of shorts and artist collaborations celebrating our favorite little troublemaker.
The latest countdown entry, titled “Season’s Greetings 2: Mischief Night“, directed by Dougherty, comes with a classic grindhouse style teasing murder and mayhem as it follows “one trick-or-treater who loved Halloween to death”.

It follows previous releases such as the “Five Days til Halloween” and “Six days til Halloween” videos. Watch both below as we wait just one more day until the greatest day of the year.
Then there’s Sam’s Harvest, handmade by Trent Shy, which comes with a warning for anyone already thinking about tossing their jack-o’-lantern in the trash.
“Every year, millions of innocent pumpkins are discarded. This year, they’re fighting back,” reads the official description. “Please dispose of your jack-o’-lanterns responsibly. They know where you live.”
As we detailed in our first look at Sam: The Soul of Halloween, Dougherty has invited artists to explore Sam through different styles and mediums, returning to the character’s animated roots for the 30th anniversary of Season’s Greetings. It’s given us a whole collection of little Halloween films to revisit each October.
And Sam’s celebration continues on the big screen: Regal’s Halloween screenings of Trick ’r Treat will include the new 4K restoration of Season’s Greetings. A chance to see where it all started before spending Halloween night with the movie that made him an icon.
