The YouTube Shorts game was revealed on Friday as the video for her collaboration with Post Malone released
To celebrate the release of her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift has invited fans to take part in her “#ForAFortnightChallenge” — named after the LP’s lead single.
As the title implies, the game requests fans to post snapshots of their life during a two-week span. The singer promoted the challenge on YouTube Shorts along with a video of her own recap featuring her in a sweet moment cooking with boyfriend Travis Kelce, working in the studio, crafting, baking cinnamon rolls, playing pickleball, toasting a yacht, and of course, a cameo of her cat.
The megastar’s recap ends with a snapshot of her with Ethan Hawke, who appeared in the “Fortnight” music video released on Friday evening. The stunningly dystopic video also stars Post Malone, who collaborated with Swift on the track. “I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever,” she wrote on Instagram the day before releasing her new album. “I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on ‘Fortnight.’”
On Friday, Spotify announced that in under 24 hours, Tortured Poets Department had already beat the record for most streams in a single day on the platform. The record has over 200 million streams already, the service said, and Swift now holds the record for the top-three debuts in Spotify history. Midnights comes in second-place and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) takes third.
