The group of country artists who are Country Music Hall of Fame eligible for the first time in 2024 is stunning.
Six of the artists on our list include (by our estimation) two sure things and two more who will get there eventually. The other 14 include some who’ve become eligible recently and two longtime eligible artists you may have overlooked for one of two reasons.

We’ve gone as far as to predict the likelihood of each induction. That gets complicated, because appreciation for an artist may increase or decrease after their period of commercial success ends.
Keith Whitley is a great example of this. There’s no denying the voice, but does he get in if Garth Brooks didn’t publicly voice support, and if a generation of country stars raised on his cassettes in daddy’s pickup truck didn’t vouch for his impact?
