In shocking news tonight, boxing legend George Foreman has died at the age of 76. George is known for his boxing, but also for being an entrepreneur and his famous George Foreman Grills. He worked hard throughout his life.
Death Of George Foreman
Foreman was known as a two-time heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist. He passed away today on March 21, 2025. The news came out from his family as they shared on his official Instagram account about his death.

“Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.
A humanitarian, an Olympian, and two time heavyweight champion of the world, He was deeply respected — a force for good, a man of discipline, conviction, and a protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name— for his family.
We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers, and kindly ask for privacy as we honor the extraordinary life of a man we were blessed to call our own.”
What Happened To Foreman?
At this time, the family hasn’t shared a cause of death or what happened to him. He did pass away peacefully, so it sounds like there was not an accident or anything that caused his death.
He was born in Houston and grew up there. George grew up in a poor family but worked his whole life to make a living and did a great job at it. He did retire from boxing back in 1999, but has still been the face of the George Foreman grills.
