Are the 1932 Yankees the greatest team of all time? This is the story of their remarkable season, led by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, toward one of the most lopsided and talked-about World Series in baseball history. At the outset of the Great Depression, as FDR campaigned to replace Herbert Hoover, a baseball season was played across America. In the National League, the Chicago Cubs narrowly won the pennant thanks to the likes of Gabby Hartnett, Charlie Grimm, Billy Herman, Riggs Stephenson, Kiki Cuyler, Johnny Moore, Lon Warneke, and Guy Bush. In the American League, Joe McCarthy’s New York…

If you’re not ready to go into the world sans support, we’ve got you covered. By Ivy Tang Date September 22, 2021 Facebook Twitter As we slowly venture out during this new “normal” phase of the pandemic, the reality of dressing for life outside our living rooms may have some of us less enthusiastic than we’d like to admit. “Hard pants,” heels and bras just aren’t as cozy as sweats, sneakers and going au naturel. (Who needs ’em, anyway, right?) But at least there are now more comfortable underwear and lingerie lines that want us to forget we’re wearing anything…

R. Kelly’s defense delivered their closing argument Thursday in the singer’s Brooklyn trial on federal racketeering charges. According to the Chicago Tribune, Kelly’s lawyer Deveraux Cannick used his closing arguments to make excuses for Kelly’s behavior, even though it was not what Kelly was on trial for. Cannick acknowledged that some of the singer’s relationships with allegedly underaged girls were of the “May to October” variety; the saying — used for couples with a significant age difference — is actually “May-December.”   Cannick also defended Kelly’s bedroom activities, and how the singer preferred his girlfriends call him “Daddy.” “The former…
