A Flicker in the Dark follows Chloe Davis, a psychologist from a small Louisiana town whose father confessed to murdering six teenaged girls when she was 12. 20 years later, her life begins to unravel when local teens start to go missing.

HBO Max is developing the adaptation of A Flicker in the Dark into a limited series, to be available on their streaming network. Fruit Tree (run by Emma Stone and Dave McCary) and A24 are producing the series.
Morgan Gould has been tapped to pen the script for the adaptation.
