Brad Pitt makes the foray into skincare

Every celebrity under the sun seems to have a skincare line these days. There’s Florence by Mills (Millie Bobby Brown), JLo Beauty (Jennifer Lopez) and Keys Soulcare (Alicia Keys), and that barely skims the surface of this crowded category. So when Brad Pitt announced the launch of his genderless skincare line, Le Domaine, we collectively rolled our eyes. Because do we really need yet more celeb-backed beauty? And what exactly does Brad Pitt know about skincare anyway? But when you learn that the new venture was inspired by the skincare benefits of grape skins (Pitt has his own wine company), it seems like a more organic transition for the actor. And when you factor in his friendship with former flame Gwyneth Paltrow, who has seen massive success with Goop, it all makes a little more sense. But will it be a hit in a saturated market? Only time will tell.

Moon Juice unearths its final launch of the summer, G Pack

Seeking a new antioxidant fix? Well, look no further, because Moon Juice is using Vitamin C to help boost elasticity and, ultimately, protect your skin. In a never-before-seen formula, G Pack is the first skincare essential to combine 10 per cent glutathione, 50 per cent Vitamin C and three per cent ferulic acid, which cocktails into a product that promotes natural collagen, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and melasma and safeguards skin from environmental toxins. Of course, it’s a stable blend that protects the bottled antioxidants, too. Mix it with Moon Juice’s coveted Plump Jelly for that extra dose of glow and hydration.

Dermalogica takes the Cancel Acne Censorship Pledge

Acne shouldn’t be a cause for shame. That’s why, for Acne Awareness Month, Dermalogica has announced that it’s taking the Cancel Acne Censorship Pledge. The goal? To fight the unrealistic beauty standards that bombard us on a daily basis and promote better body image and mental health for young people. Not only is Dermalogica updating its imagery guidelines, but the brand is also collecting signatures from people wanting to see more un-retouched skin in ad campaigns and marketing. For every signature, $1 will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association. Sign the pledge now.

Brassiness is a blonde‘s worst enemy. That’s why any light-haired guy or gal knows to stock up on purple shampoo. The latest blonde-friendly offering comes in the form of DESIGNME’s new Fab.ME Blonde Fortifying Purple Shampoo. It neutralizes warm tones while hydrating and plumping strands so hair looks healthy, strong and oh-so icy. Leave it on for three minutes in the shower, then follow up with a leave-in conditioner like Fab.ME Leave-In Treatment.

Glamzilla and Nudestix collab on a three-piece makeup kit

Looking to simplify your makeup routine? TikTok star and makeup artist Stephanie Valentine (a.k.a. Glamzilla) and Canadian beauty brand Nudestix have the answer: a simple makeup kit for no-filter-necessary skin. It includes three products: a matte bronzer in a shade called Manila, which was designed by Valentine, plus two of her favourite Nudestix products (a matte blush in Nude Buff and a Blot & Blur Matte Stick). The kit, which helps to create a soft, shine-free look that’s photo-ready, is currently available at nudestix.com, but will be hitting other retailers in October.

The Body Shop turns to edelweiss for its latest collection

If you were a fan of musicals or Julie Andrews growing up, you can probably hum The Sound of Music‘s Edelweiss song on cue. But you may not know much about edelweiss itself, a little white flower that looks like a daisy and grows in the Alps. Thanks to The Body Shop’s new Edelweiss collection, you’re about to get a lot more familiar. The range, now available in-store and online, harnesses the goodness of alpine plant, which can withstand cold temperatures and harsh winds. This trait makes it perfect for a skincare line meant to hydrate, smooth and protect the skin’s barrier against environmental stressors. Expect products like a Serum Concentrate Sheet Mask, Liquid Peel, Bouncy Sleeping Mask and more.
