Jack Harlow, an artist who famously wrote and named a track after Dua Lipa with her blessing, may be getting the chance to date his dream girl after all. Page Six reports that the two met in person at Variety‘s Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles on December 3 and have been in “constant communication” ever since. The outlet described her as “quite smitten” by the 24-year-old rapper.
Harlow is shooting his shot, a source told the outlet: “He was very interested in her, and was going to strongly pursue [the romance],” the source said.
A source close to Harlow added, “He is going to do his best, as he has always been a fan of her.”

He has already gone the distance a bit for Lipa, with multiple sources telling the outlet that he “flew to New York City to meet up with her after her Z100 Jingle Ball appearance on Friday.” Multiple eyewitnesses told the outlet that they saw Lipa and Harlow at lunch together in the Meatpacking District on Saturday. They entered through a private entrance and left separately, trying not to be seen, the outlet reported.
Lipa has been single for the last year, after previously dating Anwar Hadid for two years. (They were reported to be “on a break” in December 2021.) She told Vogue in May, “The next chapter of my life is about truly being good with being alone.”
She discussed her experience taking herself out on a dinner date alone for her Service95 newsletter and the public reaction to her writing about it. “Some people on the internet were like, ‘Oh, Dua went out for dinner on her own, blah blah, I do this all the time,’” she said. “And I think that’s amazing if you do it all the time. You must be so confident. But it was a big step for me. I was nervous—like, what am I gonna do? I don’t want to be on my phone.” Generally, with her solo dates, “I want to know I can just be there for myself, you know?”
As for Harlow, he discussed talking to Lipa via FaceTime to get her approval to name his song after her in May. “I wanted to get her blessing, so I FaceTimed her and played it for her,” he told The Breakfast Club‘s hosts. “‘Cause I didn’t want her to be blindsided by that or feel like creeped out or anything. If she had said, ‘Yo, I hate it. I don’t want it to come out,’ it wouldn’t have come out. But she was like, ‘Oh, I mean it’s not my song. I suppose it’s okay.’ She was just kinda thrown off, and she just kinda let it go.”
