On Friday, September 30, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that the theme of the 2023 Met Gala will be the late-great designer Karl Lagerfeld. Fittingly titled “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” the exhibition at the Costume Institute will celebrate the icon and the work he has created for his own brand, as well as Chanel, Fendi, Balmain, Patou, Chloé and more. At the accompanying Met Gala, we expect to see a variety of vintage looks and odes to quintessential “Karl-isms.” So mark your calendars because the event will return to its original date, the first Monday in May.

Camo has never looked cooler thanks to Moose Knuckles x Post Malone

You clearly can’t keep Post Malone down. Days after being hospitalized due to stabbing pain and difficulty breathing, the rapper not only returned to his tour, but he also released his collaboration with the Canadian outerwear company Moose Knuckles. The 10-piece gender-neutral capsule collection features a custom camouflage print and provides the brand’s highest cold weather protection rating. Talk about a “wow” moment.

Simone Rocha launches menswear at SSENSE

Simone Rocha is known for many things: pink, pearls and puffy sleeves. But menswear? Not so much. That’s what makes this debut so exciting. Celebrating its Fall 2022 collection, the British brand has launched a new men’s offering exclusively at Canada’s SSENSE. Think whimsical details mixed with preppy silhouettes like an Oxford shirt with a giant textured heart motif.

Reformation drops a vintage collection

A little-known fact about Reformation is that about 2 to 5 per cent of their clothing is made of vintage garments. But this time, instead of repurposing their consigned finds, they launched a curated collection online. The 82-piece drop includes a mix of one-of-a-kind items from designers like John Galliano, Missoni, D&G, YSL and more. It’s likely to sell out fast, so we recommend checking it out ASAP.

Everyone knows the iconic Hudson’s Bay blanket, but now, there are even more reasons to love it. This week the Hudson’s Bay Foundation announced they will partner with the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund to launch Oshki Wupoowane | The Blanket Fund. Starting on September 30, 100 per cent of sales will go towards supporting Indigenous cultural, artistic and educational activities to further spotlight the stories from these communities. Sarah Midanik, President and CEO of The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, also added in the press release, “This work helps to acknowledge and share more about the defining role HBC played in colonization and is a meaningful step forward on the path toward truth and reconciliation.”
