Pink Denies ‘Shading’ Christina Aguilera With Lady Marmalade Video Comments!

Pink wants to make it clear she was not trying to shade Christina Aguilera with her recent comments about their song Lady Marmalade!

As you may know, the two singers had been feuding for years following the recording of their hit collaboration with Mya and Lil’ Kim. However, it seemed like they squashed their beef once and for all when they worked together on NBC’s The Voice in 2016. Pink even told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in 2017 that they “made up on The Voice,” recalling:

“I hadn’t seen her in years and years and years and we became moms. We grew up and we hugged it out. … We were super young and super new at the whole thing. I think I’m an alpha and she’s an alpha, and I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We just are very different.”

Christina even made it seem like things were fine between them two years later on WWHL, saying:

“I know she had some, you know, feelings or whatever about how the recording of ‘Lady Marmalade’ went down and all that, and I know the actual video, she intimidated me, because she was a little heckling me in the audience, a little bit behind the director and I was like, ‘Oh, what’s going on?’ But she’s like, you know, she’s a different person now—she’s a mom, she’s like, she’s cool.”

However, their truce seemed to go out the window when Pink made some inneresting comments during a recent interview with Buzzfeed UK. The 43-year-old singer put Lady Marmalade in last place while ranking her old music videos and said “it wasn’t very fun to make,” explaining:

“I’m all about fun and it was like, a lot of fuss, and there were some personalities.”

She then noted “Kim and Mya were nice” – making it very clear the so-called personality on set was just her (maybe former?) nemesis Christina! Considering Pink’s intentional decision to leave out the Fighter songstress from her “nice” comments, many people believed she was “shading” her once again. Now, the So What artist is responding to the shade accusations! Responding to a since-deleted tweet about her comments, Pink wrote on Twitter Saturday:

“Y’all are nuts. Xtina had shit to do with who was on that song. If you don’t know by now- I’m not “shading” someone by telling it over and over and over what actually happened. I’m zero percent interested in your f**king drama. If you haven’t noticed- I’m a little busy selling. And by selling- I mean tickets and albums and bake sales and s**t”

Hmm… Whether or not Pink meant for her comments to be shady, it definitely came off that way!

She then added:

“Also- I kissed xtinas mouth. I don’t need to kiss her ass.”

Of course, Pink was referencing a previous claim that she and Christina kissed during a game of spin the bottle at her birthday party – although the Dirrty singer has a different recollection of the moment. Christina recalled on WWHL:

“I was excited about a kiss. I was like, oh, kissing, like, all’s good, maybe no, you know, whatever. She put her hand up like this [holds her hand over her mouth]. I was like, oh, that’s what we’re doing? Alright. She don’t wanna get ‘Dirrty.’”

This feud seems like it will never end! Lolz! Christina hasn’t reacted to Pink’s latest remarks — but we wouldn’t be surprised if she was a little upset by them! What do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Did you think Pink’s comments were shady? Sound OFF on the matter in the comments below!
