Clean up on aisle four.
While we’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of Evil Dead Rise, director Lee Cronin has been feeding us delicious behind-the-scenes tidbits of the bloody set. Most recently, Cronin took to Twitter to share a throwback photo of “a particularly mess day” on set.
While Cronin sits in the director’s chair for Evil Dead Rise, Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Robert Tapert serve as producers. In a recent interview with Slash Film, Raimi said that the film is “terrifying and it’s going to knock people’s socks off.”
Check out the full synopsis for the film below:
“In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building. It gives rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”

We cannot wait to see Deadite mayhem unleashed in a cramped apartment building. In the words of Drowning Pool, let the bodies hit the floor.
