Jordan Peele has Teased His Horror Film After ‘Nope’

Jordan Peele’s Nope is on its way to theaters later this week. In addition, Peele is starring in a stop-animated film called Wendell and Wild. The animated series has been directed by Henry Selick and the team that brought us A Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline and more. Even with all that, Peele has started working on the beginnings of his new film. He briefly touched on the next film’s new idea.

“A little bit of horror, a little bit of comedy; I’m always going to try and give you a big show.” Peele said about his next film. “I will stay within this realm that I love which is, I think, the only way I know how to view the world and how to tell
stories at this point.”

So, we can expect something that Peele has become known for. Something that has his powerful voice and sensibilities while also creating something fun. From Get Out to Nope all three of his films have involved that same voice and same passionate scares.

The synopsis for Nope goes like this:

Caretakers at a California horse ranch encounter a mysterious force that affects human and animal behavior.

As with Get Out and Us, Nope appears to be keeping its narrative very close to its belt. We vaguely know that it will be about aliens, but the larger story has been kept very close to the belt. We think that even with the amount of story that we have in tow, we still only know 20 percent of Nope.
