If you recall Playstation’s mega hit Twisted Metal, you remember a driver/shooter with wicked Twilight Zone type narratives for each character. The game itself was a complete blast and ate up many a summer night. Some of the best stuff in Twisted Metal came down to the multiplayer fun that was an all-out riot. Well, now Peacock’s new series based on the Twisted Metal series is giving us its first look and we are already loving what we are seeing.

In the poster we can see Sweet Tooth the clown in his Ice Cream truck. We can see that a lot of the deadly adversaries from the game are returning to have all out to-the-death combat in the asphalt arenas.

Anthony Mackie stars in the all-new series and will act as our hero in a world full of villains. The new series from Peacock with Will Arnett, Rhett Reese, Michael Jonathan Smith and Paul Wernick all on as producers.

Twisted Metal also stars Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, Thomas Haden Church, as Agent Stone and Richard Cabral as Loud with Samoa Joe physically as Sweet Tooth with Arnetttaking on the character’s voice. In addition the series will also star Neve Campbell as Raven, Mike Mitchell as Stu, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr. as cartographer Tommy.

The synopsis for Twisted Metal breaks down like this:

“a motor-mouthed outsider [who is] offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.”

Word is that tomorrow we will see a full-length trailer for Twisted Metal and that we will see the series drop in 2023.
