R.L. Stine Says More ‘Fear Street’ and ‘Goosebumps’ Movies On

R.L. Stine’s works have received great adaptations as of late. Everything from the Goosebump movies to a well-done Fear Street trilogy on Netflix. In addition to those Stine’s Goosebumps is also coming to Disney+ for a TV series. It’s an exciting time to be a Stine fan. When speaking to Yahoo Stine said that there are even more projects in the works for both Goosebumps and Fear Street.

“There’s still talk about more Goosebumps movies, and I also hear rumors about more Fear Street movies for Netflix, because the first ones did so well last summer.” Stine said. “Those films kind of shocked me, because they were all R-rated, and I’ve never done anything R-rated! All those teenagers were getting slashed. I was like, “Suddenly, I have a slasher movie!”

Goosebumps

Fear Street’s Netflix trilogy was incredibly well executed. The trilogy was also tremendously and surprisingly violent. It ended up being one of my favorite works of horror that entire year. So, a return to more of that kind of storytelling would be fantastic.

The synopsis for Fear Street on Netflix goes like this:

After a series of brutal slayings, a teen and her friends take on an evil force that’s plagued their notorious town for centuries.

The Goosebumps films were each a lot of fun on their own. It was great to see Jack Black play Stine. But, I really still wish that there would be an anthology project at work instead of seeing all of these characters placed under on larger umbrella.
