Good news/bad news. The bad news is that Halloween is a full 363-days away. The good news is that we have a collection of three newly released trailers to satiate your taste for the macabre. So, grab a fistful of leftover candy corn and feast your eyes on these coming attractions!

First up is Smother. This Australian horror picture by Achmed Abdel-Salam follows Michi (Cornelia Ivancan), a recovering alcoholic and young mother. When she inherits her father’s summer home, Michi takes temporary residence in the dwelling with her daughter, Hanna (Lola Herbst). The setting stirs up painful memories, which causes Michi to start drinking again. When that which haunts the mother begins to effect her daughter, Michi must step up to protect her little girl from the darkness by which she is plagued. Smother is slated for a European release in early 2023. A stateside exhibition is sure to follow.

Next, up holiday horror film The Leech has rolled out a new trailer. The preview comes courtesy of ScreenRant and it looks to be a funny and utterly ridiculous good time.

Writer/director Eric Pennycoff’s tale of yuletide terror sees Father David (Graham Skipper) inviting Terry (Jeremy Gardner) a man experiencing homelessness to come in from the cold and stay with him. Matters grow more complex when Terry reveals that his pregnant lady friend Lexi (Taylor Gardner) is also in need of lodging. The duo eventually become unruly and test the limits of David’s patience as their behavior grows bizarre and even violent.

The Leech will be available on digital December 5th and will bow on Blu-ray December 6th. Scope the trailer below.

The last of the batch is an A24 effort featuring the ever-versatile Tilda Swinton in a double role. The Eternal Daughtersees filmmaker Joanna Hogg returning to the cinematic universe she created with The Souvenir and The Souvenir: Part II.

In this offshoot of The Souvenir series, Swinton takes over the role of Julie Hart, which was previously portrayed by her daughter, Honor Swinton Byrne. The elder Swinton previously appeared as Julie’s mother in The Souvenir films and will be reprising that role, in addition to playing an older version of Julie.

The film follows a filmmaker and her mother as they navigate their relationship dynamic after returning to the home they once shared. Their former estate has been repurposed as a hotel. A hotel with dark, ghostly secrets.

The Eternal Daughter hits theaters on December 2nd.
