Streaming service HiDive announced on Friday that it had acquired the rights to exclusively stream the upcoming Lupin the 3rd Part 1 dub, which will premiere before the year ends. The first four episodes of Part 1 will premiere on December 23, 2021. The anime streaming service has made quite the commitment to Lupin the 3rd as it now has streaming rights to the entire series.

For those looking to pick up something more physical, Discotek Media has also announced a Lupin the 3rd Part 1 Blu-ray that features the new English dub. The Blu-ray is set to release sometime in 2022 and will include both the subbed and dubbed version of the show, as well as a full restoration of the 23-episode series.

The remaster comes from the same source material as the Japanese Blu-rays, except Discotek has also done “extensive” dust and scratch removal, as well as new color correction. The Lupin the 3rd Part 1 Blu-ray will also feature 200 pages of new liner notes by anime historian Reed Nelson, and includes an extensive gallery of rare production art.
