With the move, Vudu becomes the only company that is currently making Game of Thrones available in 4K Ultra HD as a complete series or by season. To celebrate the move, Game of Thrones is currently available in 4K UHD for a limited time at the HD price, with Seasons 1-6 available in UHD for $24.99 each, and Seasons 7 and 8 available in UHD for $19.99 each. The entire series is also available in UHD and can be picked up for $99.99.

For fans who may have already purchased Game of Thrones digitally through Vudu, the series will be able to be upgraded, with a fee of $5 per season or $30 for the entire series.

Premiering 11 years ago in 2011, Game of Thrones was based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series by author George R.R. Martin, and became a smash hit for HBO. The series lasted eight seasons, wrapping up in 2019 to mixed reviews from both fans and critics alike, who criticized that the final season felt a bit rushed and didn’t end as many thought it would.

Despite that, though, the series remains one of the most popular television series of all time, racking up 59 total Primetime Emmy Awards (the most for a drama series ever). Currently, HBO has several Game of Thrones-related series in production, including the upcoming House of the Dragon.
