Besides this new project, Waterston will also next be seen in Damien Chazelle’s upcoming all-star film Babylon opposite Brad Pitt and in the second season of the hit HBO drama Perry Mason.

“Set amid an environmental crisis that sees London submerged by flood waters, the feminist survival story focuses on a young family torn apart in the chaos,” reads the synopsis. “Comer will play a mother who with her new-born child tries to find a way home, navigating the most challenging and apocalyptic start to motherhood.”

The End We Start From will be directed by Mahalia Bello from a screenplay by Alice Birch (Succession), based on Megan Hunter’s novel of the same name. It is produced by Leah Clarke, Adam Ackland, Liza Marshall, Sophie Hunter, and Amy Jackson. Executive producers are Benedict Cumberbatch for SunnyMarch, Jodie Comer, Anton’s Sébastien Raybaud and Cecile Gaget, and Eva Yates.
